Definition

Beating falls under the category of impact play, which is a sexual practice where a person is struck by another person for sexual enjoyment. Can be done in the form of “punishment” to the submissive.

Safety Concerns

A main safety concern is having a general knowledge of human anatomy. Some parts of the body if struck can cause major damage, such as: hipbones, kidneys, neck, tailbone, all joints, and the head. Wrapping can be a major concern as well. This is when a flogger wraps around the individual being hit, often hitting the ribs or hipbones. It is quite painful, since you can’t determine where it will land. The longer the falls on the flogger, the more care and training the dominant party should have.
