Genital punishment is the mutilation or degradation of a person’s genitals. The practice can be done on both male and female participants. The punishment can range from putting clothespins on vaginal lips, to using rope to tie up a penis, or using a ball cuff on testicles, to various other forms of punishment. Participants often correlate pleasure with pain as coming from the same source. To most people, though, it is extremely excruciating and not practiced very often. Genital Punishment is very popular among domme BDSM circles. Ball busting has increased in popularity over the years as well. There are different forms of beautification that are seen as forms of genital punishment such as tattooing the genitalia or getting it pierced.

One must be extremely careful when practicing genital punishment, because it is very easy to do irreversible damage. Communication is very important, and if not heeded, then serious complications can occur.
