Handicap fetish refers to the attraction to people with disabilities. These attractions can range from things like wheelchairs, casts, and crutches, to missing limbs and even neurological afflictions like cerebral palsy. Attraction to people with deformities can also be included into this group. Such attractions can lead to things like apotemnophilia, which is the desire to acquire a disability. People who are attracted to handicapped individuals are grouped themselves and called DPWs (devotees, pretenders, wannabes). Most of them have been attracted to specific handicaps since childhood. Handicap fetishism is considered to be a paraphilia, and most of the people who have it remember some sort of sexual event or tragedy in their lives.

The ever-growing popularity of the internet has added an interest in this fetish all over the world, and the numbers keep increasing.

Disabled People

Even with its growth in popularity on the web, most people who are disabled are unaware of this fetish. When they do find out about it, most people respond with alarm and are even shocked to know it exists.
