A kiss occurs when two people press their lips together passionately. This is usually done as a way of expressing affection, love and sexual desire. Kissing is the most common type of foreplay and can be done a variety of ways. The most popular type of kissing is known as “French kissing,” which involves the use of tongue. Other than intercourse, kissing can be one of the most intimate ways of showing affection. Prolonged periods of kissing are commonly referred to as “making out”. It can also include intimate contact known as “heavy petting” and other forms of foreplay that can lead to sexual intercourse.
Health Concerns
It is possible to transmit disease through kissing. The most common type includes mononucleosis (mono) and herpes. These diseases are transmitted through the exchange of saliva. It is however extremely rare to contract HIV through kissing.
