Definition
A leash is a fetish accessory used to restrain or control a submissive. Leashes can be made of many materials but they are most commonly made out of rope, leather or chain. A leash is often attached to a collar or body harness but sometimes it can be looped directly around a person's neck, wrist, or ankle. In some cases a leash is attached to a male's genitals or to a female's body piercings. In the BDSM community the main purpose of the leash is to show a visual sign of ownership to other people or for physical control and positioning. Leashes are most often used in private or secluded areas. It is only used publicly at fetish clubs or events.
Safety Concerns
Since a leash is used to restrain it should be used with caution. If too much strain is put on the leash it can result in choking or suffocation.
