Public play is a very common way for members of the D/s and BDSM community to get together and socialize. It is also a time to introduce a new submissive or Dominant to friends. These gatherings are also an opportunity to reveal or perform new or different techniques in front of an appreciative audience. There are many rules that accompany these events but they all depend on the location of the gathering and the host or hostess. Public plays are not to be confused with orgies; they are two very separate things. Public play doesn’t have to be about sex, but more about the socializing. Public play may also be known as munch.
Safety Concerns
Always be courteous and mindful of others at these events. If the event is happening in a neighborhood be discreet until you reach the safety zone. Public play events can range in size but always follow the same safety rules as if attending any other social, public event.
